I really enjoy playing games, especially the simpler, not so high-tech ones, much to the dismay of my teen-age son! I love Arkanoid, one of those ball and paddle games, and Bejeweled, which is from Pop Cap Games. I also like a lot of Apogee Software's older games, like Monster Bash and Hocus Pocus. (If you go to their site, they're in the download section.) Heck, I even like the solitaire game that comes with the operating system. I have fond memories of playing Leisure Suit Larry, Zak McKraken, the original Zork (when it originally came out!). I'm not a total game heathen; I have played and enjoyed many "real" games: the Kyrandia series, the first Lands of Lore, The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time, Pharoah, the second Gabriel Knight. I do play Diablo II, but the main joy I get out of that, seeing as how it's a simple click-fest, is seeing how many special items I can get and what jewels I can find. What can I say? I'm part pack-rat and part magpie! I looked for cat games but, unfortunately, there seems to be a decided dearth of them. These games that I've chosen, though, are pretty fun, so give them a try! You never know, you may have your cat helping you with them. Enjoy your stay at The Game Room! Just an FYI -- some of these games require Shockwave which you can download here. This is a clever little game. You run a beverage kiosk which sells lemonade and coffee. Depending on the forecast for the next day, you can choose which beverage you think will sell best and even put up advertising posters. It's not as easy as it sounds! Guide your rat through the maze and have him get to the cheese before the other rat! Make matches until you clear the board. Addictive! |
